Introducing the new home of the
Nissequogue River State Park Foundation
Since 2008, the Nissequogue River State Park Foundation has established several fun, family oriented events to benefit the Nissequogue River State Park and the Long Island Community. The success of these events has allowed us to make several important improvements to the park. It has also helped convince State Parks to move forward with the 1st phase of the park's cleanup, including the removal of 19 dilapidated structures on the property this summer.
Today, we are proud to announce the official launch of our new website. It will help our residents keep track of new park events and developments. The site also provides readers with a description of the property's unique history from a former Kings County Asylum to its current status as a state park. Park directions, information about the foundation and how to support our mission can also be found on the site.
